SplitEV perspective

An EV charger on a map is not always one you can use.

A charger becomes useful when a driver knows they can reach it, when it is open and what to expect when they arrive.

More charging hardware will be needed in many places. But an installed charger does not automatically become a useful stop for a driver. The owner may only want to share it at certain times. Parking may be restricted. The connector may not fit. A driver who cannot see those details before leaving is still making a guess.

That is the access problem SplitEV is working on. We want drivers to be able to find participating chargers at homes and businesses, understand the available hours and book an open time. Owners choose when they can share their equipment. Clear details on both sides are what turn a charger from a dot on a map into a place someone can plan around.

A location has a schedule, not just an address.

The useful question is not simply how many chargers exist. It is how many a driver can use at the time and place they need one. A workplace charger might be useful during the day. A hotel or home host may have an overnight opening. A shop may have quiet hours that suit a nearby driver. Those examples depend on the host's actual rules and availability.

For SplitEV, a listing should make the connector, hours, parking instructions and access rules clear before a driver books. That reduces wasted trips and gives the host a better chance of receiving the right booking.

Build local density before broad claims.

A dependable network has to work where people already live, park and travel. Adding isolated locations to a map is less useful than building a cluster of places with real availability near repeat demand. We are approaching growth market by market and treating searches, bookings and completed sessions as signals for where access is still thin.

The measure of progress is practical: active hosts, sessions that actually happen, and drivers who choose to return. As that evidence develops, it can guide which locations and partners should join next.
